Scope of works: Air-conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation, Electrical, Fire Protection, Plumbing & Sanitary Systems and Security Systems.
Project Overview and Challenges:
- This project involved the design and build of complete mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems for a new dance studio located within a mixed-use shopping and office complex.
One of the key design challenges was to achieve an acoustic performance of NC30, ensuring a comfortable and quiet environment suitable for dance activities despite being surrounded by commercial spaces. - The lighting design also required careful consideration — the client’s selection of a matte black dance floor finish made it necessary to achieve optimal brightness without glare, providing a visually balanced and comfortable space for both instructors and students.
- Through close collaboration with the Architect, client and end-user, our team successfully completed and handed over the project within budget and the tight timeline, delivering a high-quality facility that met both acoustic and visual performance standards.
