Client: Changi Airport Group (CAG)
Construction Period: Mar 2020
Scope of works: ACMV, ESCS, Electrical, Fire Protection.
Project Overview and Challenges:
- In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Changi Airport Group (CAG) required the rapid establishment of a Business Continuity Centre (BCC) to ensure uninterrupted operations while complying with safe distancing requirements.
- This was a super fast-track design and build project, involving the removal of all existing M&E services and complete fit-out works to an existing core and shell space of approximately 7,000 square feet at Terminal 2.
- Based on the new layout, our team designed and installed:
- Air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation (ACMV) systems
- Modifications to the existing Engineered Smoke Control System including authority submission
- Electrical distribution and lighting systems
- Despite tight time constraints and challenging site conditions, the entire project — from design to testing and commissioning — was successfully completed within just 3 weeks.
- This project once again demonstrated our team’s agility, technical expertise, and commitment to supporting our client’s mission-critical needs, even under the most demanding circumstances.
